Design Principles
My design principles are inspired by the Design Justice Network, focusing on community needs, collaboration, and lived experience.
-
Actively involve those most affected by a design challenge, ensuring their voices guide the process and that solutions truly meet their needs.
-
Prioritize the real-world impact of my designs over my own creative intentions, measuring success by how well a solution serves people’s daily lives.
-
I see my role as a facilitator who co-creates with others, rather than as an expert who imposes solutions.
-
Recognize that each person brings valuable insights based on their lived experiences, making them key contributors in the design process.
-
Embrace design as a continuous, inclusive, and iterative journey, where meaningful change emerges through collaboration and accountability, not as a final outcome.
